Hi Pabs, This is showing as an unanswered question on the Asia genealogy site. It appears you have received an answer on the Indexing site. Please let me know if that answered this question also.

I find this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhang_(surname)
that "Tiong" from "See Lee Tiong" is the surname of Zhang 張 in Philippines。
"See Lee" is the given name.

Within Familysearch Family tree individual record, Vitals has name edit. Within edit, there is a language option ( for all languages Family search support - Family search is a multi languages program ). For Chinese option, you can enter Chinese characters for surname & given names. The order of surname & given names is based on the original cultural format. On the ordinance cards, it will automatic print in 2 rows. I in Chinese ( for Chinese option )for the convenience of the Chinese speaking ordinance worker, 1 in English for the convenience of the English speaking ordinance workers.
The Chinese Character is the gold standard. 陳 can be Cantonese - Chan or mandarin -Chen. I am not sure Vietnamese Chinese use Tran, Hakka would be different pronunciation again.
