Help with Denmark christening
I would really appreciate help in reading the names of the witnesses of this christening record for Krosbolle, Odense, Denmark. https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn872/churchbook/source134088/opslag14471764
It's on the left side in 1756, Jorgen Jorgensen's daughter Kirsten.
Thanks!

This is very difficult writing but I think the names are: Mads Jensen, Jørgen Hansen, and Peder and Anders Christensøn.

Norm, thanks for taking the time to look at it for me. I think I'm seeing the word "morbroder" in front of Peder and Anders Christensen, and I'm curious whether it's saying those are brothers of the mother of the child?

It is difficult to say, but the word may be "morbroder"-mother's brother. There isn't really anyway to know whose uncle it is.

It states that Jørgen Hansens girl by the name Anne carried the child to the christening. witnesses are: Mads Jensen, Jørgen Hansen the child's Mothers 2 brothers [by the name] Peder and Anders [last name] Christensen.
You may want to look for the marriage of the mon and dad which should give the mothers maiden name.
Norm did very well to translate this early writing.

Liv Anderson, thanks so much for looking at this for me. I have the marriage record as well as a probate record, and the wife's name was Karen Pedersdatter. It appears that her father is probably Peder Christensen, at least there's one of that name born at the right time to a Peder Christensen that could be her. So I don't know if this Peder and Anders Christensen are her father and her father's brother, or if perhaps her mother married a second time to someone named Christen. I need to do more research.
Thanks for your help!
