I have a friend looking for her half sister in Italy. I have check all the databases on familysearc
-My father, Antonio, served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany in the 1950’s
-During that time, he frequently traveled to Barcelona Spain and dated a woman named Esperanza Medina who was around my dad’s age. He is today 83 years old.
-He served in Europe from 1955-1957 and dated Esperanza for a year sometime from 1955-1957.
-He said they met at the Monparnaz Bar in the Pueblo Espanol neighborhood of Barcelona.
-After my dad left the service and returned to the US, he said that a military acquaintance had returned to the US from a tour in Europe. This man served in the US Army on the same military base as my dad. When he saw my father in Santa Fe, NM, he told my dad that Esperanza had given birth to a child who was my father’s. By then, my dad was already married to my mom with one or two kids of his own. He was not in a position to return to Spain.
-I believe that Esperanza would have been pregnant and given birth to a daughter in 1956 or 1957.
-Esperanza was Catholic and I have a photo of her and her daughter (who strongly resembles my oldest sister) when the child was around 4 or 5 years old. I think my half sister would have been born at a Barcelona hospital sometime from 1956-1958 and subsequently baptized at a Catholic Church in or near Barcelona, Spain.

Also she does not want to share her father's DNA which would be very helpful but does not want her father to know.

Her understandable desire to protect privacy will make her search almost impossible. Without clues as to what or where to look there is close to zero chance of any progress. Information on living people is almost totally not public, especially in Europe but also on FS. Her best bet is likely to use her DNA on ALL the DNA sites: ancestry, FamilyTreeDNA, MyHeritage, 23andme, GEDmatch.
The only other EXTREME LONG shot is someone related or descended from, or Esperanza Medina herself if still living, might see her inquiries and recognise the relationship. You don't have, or offer, a place in Italy where she was from which could lead to more refined searches, assuming she did "want" to BE found. You don't have her married surname either so that complicates things.
I highly recommend using DNA. It is the best chance. She could use her own DNA, she does not need her father's, though his would be preferable as a closer match.
FYI, if the child IS his, and DNA would be the ONLY way to confirm this, he did more than "date" her, LOL. Sorry, could not resist! Not trying to be mean.
