Clarification please on Jacob Olaus Peterson, birthdate and possible brother Jens
So my sister who originally did this research has dyslexia. So I’m finding some discrepancies.
Jacob Olaus Petersen 29HC-CKB according to the 1875 census and his 1842 marriage record was probably born in 1822. I found this record of his birth entry #26 https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/15987/49517/26
I’m trying to reconcile why my sister put his birth as 13 September 1819 and I found a possible brother on that date, entry #16 https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/15989/91682/18
what do you think?
Also is the name Bruste on any of these records in the witnesses or parents? She has Jacob’s father listed as Peter Bruste Aursnes. I don’t know perhaps it’s a middle name found in a birth record for the father that I haven’t found yet. Also wondering where she got the name Hette Agnette as his mother, as all I can see is Agnete.
Thanks in advance

I cannot be certain why your sister had Jacob Olaus Petersen's birthdate as 13 September 1819. You are probably correct that she got the date mixed up with a brother. I am sure that Jens Jacobus Petersen Aursnes is a brother to Jacob Olaus. The parents' names are the same (or close enough): Peter Jacob(sen) Aursnes and Agnete Marie Jensd(atter) for Jens Jacobus and Petter Jacobs(sen) Aursnæs and Agnete Jensd(atter) for Jacob Olaus.
As a side note, on Jens Jacobus' birth record, there is a reference to "Fol. 333" in the 7th column. That column directs you to page 333 in the Jevnførelses Register which is called a "comparing index" in the record searches. Many times that Register isn't much use, but I like to look at it anyway, "just in case" there is something useful there. In this case there was good information there. That record is here: https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/15989/181 .
Jens Jacobus is entry 401 and in the last column, which is for deaths, it says he is on "Fol(io) 98" (it is actually 99 when I looked at the record). So it appears that Jens Jacobus was only 10 days old when he died. That record is here (entry #24): https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/15989/100 .
Still no explanation for the name Bruste.

Thank you again. I love all your extra details, I’m learning so much from you sharing your knowledge. It would take me longer to find out all this information and you know a ton of shortcuts and tips. It’s sad to hear about children passing away. It just makes me wish we could do their temple work soon. Hopefully this pandemic will end sometime and we can open the temples all the way again. I appreciate you. Thanks!
