Could you help me identify some key information from this record from Sielec Parish in Russian Polan
Record No. 7 I believe is the marriage of Heinrich Schmidt and Barbara Laubenstein. I'm looking for the date of the event and the name of father of the groom. Please correct me on any of the following if necessary: I believe his mother's name is Elisabeth Schmidt and the are from Penclawice, and the parents of the bride Konrad Laubenstein and Katharina Hermann also from Penclawice. The first part looks like it has something about witnesses Mathias Schmidt from Oglendowo and Georg Müller from Luszczice - witness names again at the end of the document. If there is any other key information you notice - maybe their ages. Thanks a lot for whatever help you can give!!
Best regards,
Susanne

Thank you!! I think I have the residences of the witnesses, but knowing their ages would be helpful as they are probably related in some way. So, yes on ages if you would! Do you think it is possible for the name Gregor and Georg to be intermixed in parish records? I have a death in 1875 of Elisabeth Schmidt born Schmidt from Penclawice in this same parish and it indicates her husband's name as Georg. I'm wondering if she might be the same Elisabeth Schmidt as listed in this record... bummer she has about the most common name there is. I'd like to send you the record for an opinion if you don't mind... Thanks!!!
Susanne

Yes, I think it's very possible that Gregor and George are the same person. Actually in the Russian, they use Григор (Grigor), the Russian form of Gregor/George.
Sure, send that record about Elisabeth Schmidt and I'll take a look at it.
Mathias was thirty four and Antoni Muller was fifty four.

Here's the record with the death of Elisabeth Schmidt born Schmidt. I am thinking her husband Georg Schmidt may be the same as the Gregor Schmidt who is the father in the marriage record for Heinrich Schmidt and Barbara Laubenstein. Thanks for looking!!

Hi Susanne!
It seems like this could very well be the same Elisabeth Schmidt listed as the mother listed in the marriage record of Heinrich. The marriage record indicates that Elisabeth Schmidt nee Schmidt was deceased at the time of Heinrich's marriage which seems to fit. I think that Georg/Gregor are the same person - you often find spelling variations with names/the same version of the name in different languages when dealing with documents written in Russian. Also, the witnesses are the same!
