how to view unindexed records

See the post I wrote about indexing for some information.
For more detail, I use the "Search" and then the "Catalog" button
This brings up the location, which is what I typically used. I put in the location (county state for example Nelson, Kentucky), then select "online" Availability. This will give you a list of land, probate, taxation, court, church..... records for that location. I then have to search records to see if they have an index them. I usually search at the county level, the page does at the top "Place withing United States, Kentucky, Nelson" this will give me a list cities/locations within that county.
I open those records and see if they have a physical index to search.
Use Catalog to search location . Availability online
online records for the county
Expansion of Probate records
Place within - looking at cities withing counties
