Family search- MyHeritage?
Last week I watched the webinar about using MyHeritage in connection with fsft. I have done so for number of years but webinar talked about synchronized trees. My MyHeritage account is not showing the synchronized tree option. I contacted MyHeritage and sent request to fsbeta@MyHeritage.com as instructed. No change after full week so emailed a 2nd time. Can someone here in community help? Thank you. Deniese

Are you a, Member of the Church; or, do you have a "MyHeritage_com" Account?
.
IF, you are either; THEN, you can use:
.
Partner Access:
https://www.familysearch.org/campaign/partneraccess/
.
I hope this helps.

Brett, Yes I am a member and my MyHeritage account is thru fsft but the synchronized tree option is not showing up on my acct with MyHeritage. Should I remove my access to MyHeritage and then reopen it? Also where can I find link to the webinar I watched. I would like to view it again when I am not watching my grandchild and can get more out of it? Thank you for your help. Deniese

Just to get it clear in my mind ...
.
In your "Settings"; and, under the "Connected Accounts" 'Tab', in 'FamilySearch', there is "MyHeritage"; as, a "Connected" Account - it that correct?
.
If the answer is 'Yes'; then ...
.
IF, so; then, your reference is, to the synchronizing of one's "Pedigree" (ie. "Tree") between, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, such in "MyHeritage.com" - is that correct?
.
If the answer is 'Yes'; then, I am so sorry, I cannot advise you; as, I DO NOT synchronize my "Pedigree" (ie. "Tree") between, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, such in "MyHeritage.com" - I mainly use "MyHeritage.com" to get and add additional "Sources" to my Ancestors in "Family Tree".
.
If I find any information on such I will add it to this post of yours.
.
Hopefully, a User/Patron who does synchronize may be able to join in on this post of yours.
.
And ...
Furthermore ...
.
Although, I see them posted often, I do not participate in the "Webinars".
.
Again, if I find any information on such I will add it to this post of yours.
.
And, again, hopefully, a User/Patron who does participate in such may be able to join in on this post of yours.
.
Once again, I am so sorry that I cannot be of any assistance.

Yes to all. This synchronized tree seems to be something new. So I am not sure about the particulars of it. I will wait and see if another community patron has any ideas. Thanks much.

I made this video 4 years ago, and I have been looking on MyHeritage and I don't see the FamilySearch button anymore. I am going to do some digging and see what I can find. I wonder if I need to do something in my settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXCaov1mAU0&t=133s

You need to go through the Partner Access and login again. This will download a new tree up to 10 generation. This new tree can now sync with FamilySearch.
- login to FamilySearch
- Click on Help and select Help Center
- Open Partners then partner access
- Select My Heritage
- Select sign into my account
- FamilySeach will now begin to download a new tree to MyHeritage
- Once it's downloaded click on Family Tree tab and you will see the new option to sync and others

Gary, thank you for your reply. I had to revoke my access to MyHeritage then restart it but then after letting my tree download it found an error that I have had to send to our tech guru's so am waiting for them to fix.

There was a presentation at RootsTech (I think 2019) where they announced a pilot program between FS and MH. They had a special password that triggered the pilot program functionality - which would allow you to download from FS to MH, then you could work in MH and synch that back to FS. Not sure if that is still available (I was not able to watch this year), but I would start there.

Thank you for your reply. I figured out what I needed. Now waiting for tech to correct an error in my piece of tree.

When I created the new syncing tree with MyHeritage and FamilySearch, they had uploaded my husband's line also. I had to ask them to only create a tree with my direct line. There doesn't seem to be a an option during the creation process.
I like the problem list they send because it showed people changing things that created problems that had not been there previously.
This new tree sync has really changed how I use MyHeritage.

People were talking a lot about this several years ago because it was causing major problems in Familysearch. I am not sure exactly what. Mostly I just remember people being mad. I think it was overwriting documented trees with stuff from my heritage sort of like a feedback loop. Hopefully it was fixed. Let us know how it worked for you
