I am looking for a FamilySearch pin that could be awarded to family history consultants as a recogni
I checked with FamilySearch and the green lapel pin with the FS logo that they distribute is for their use only. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I might purchase 40 pins of this type?
I've checked online and unless I want to buy hundreds of these pins, the cost per pin is prohibitive.

Merlynn,
I'd be willing to help defray the costs; I have about 10 consultants including youth.
Can you show a picture of the said pins?
cheers,
Andy

.
I hate to be a 'naysayer'...
.
But ...
.
WHY are you REWARDING "Ward/Branch, Temple and Family History, Consultants" for DOING their 'Calling'?
.
Certainly, ... "Encourage" ... and ... "Praise" ... someone for doing their 'Calling'; but, that said, we should NEVER be REWARDED for doing our 'Calling".
.
Perhaps, that is juts me.

I agree people should just do their calling. Family history work has its own spiritual rewards. But sometimes pins, badges, treats etc can be motivational and fun! I have given pictures of the temple to consultants as "prizes" when they have finished a checklist of basic training.

“Do not reward reverent behavior with prizes or food. Do not have contests to see who can be the most reverent. These tend to focus on the wrong things. Teach about the real rewards of reverence, such as increased understanding and the influence of the Spirit” (Teaching, No Greater Call, 83).
I wonder if there is a more general principle being taught there. There may not be any significance to the following, but I note that Boy Scouts will no longer be an official program of the Church in a few months, and that the entire Youth program will be changing. As a result there will be less and less (if any) emphasis on outward worldly recognition. I've noticed less and less emphasis on rewards, pins, etc., over they past few years, though I've never seen anything in writing that discourages it either. We could end up on a slippery slope where another group sees "our" rewards for our people, and decides it's a great idea for their group, etc., etc. Pretty soon we could end up with a material reward and recognition system unofficially motivating our membership, while those that aren't yet achieving those rewards either shrink back with feelings of not being good enough, or else seek the outward recognition of others and miss the spiritual recognition that cannot be described in words, yet surpasses any worldly recognition. That motivates better than anything! Just my 2¢....

Here is the pin that was handed out at RootsTech. I know it's not for another 6 months or so, but if it's practical for your consultants to attend RootsTech, that's a wonderful way for them to learn their calling, and they can get a pin just for visiting the FamilySearch booth and asking a question!
(I assume that FamilySearch will do this again in 2020 like they did this year).
