Italia, Roma—Stato Civile, 1867–1929 [Parte D]
[M97C-5GX]
The date at top of record is: L anno milleottocentosettantadue questo di tre Marzo. Further down I read: atti di nascita e morto con atto del ventiquatro gennaio avino decorso debitamente approvato che in detto ospedale del di primo corrente mori Raspagliosi Maddalena... Is the date of death 24 Gen 1872? Or primo gennaio, 1 Gen 1872? Or something else??

I am going to tag @Dellory Matthews and @CarmenPatane1 CarmenPatane1 to see if they can help you with these records.

Italian Civil records are in a narrative format. They start with the date an event was reported to the civil authority. Then later you see the actual date of the birth or death. But sometimes you see more than 2 dates because the original record is elsewhere or because of an amendment. This batch contains many longhand records in paragraph format numbered from 938 to 956. Which one are you asking about?

Hello! When I try opening the batch in question it says that the access is limited.

That's odd. It just opened for me again. Try this link: https://www.familysearch.org/indexing/batch/028c0b66-28b1-4901-9cfc-7fb8c799f348

Thank you @Dellory Matthews, but I still can't access it. Strange.
Anyway @David Peck Packer, from the things you wrote and opening another batch from the same project, I can tell you that the first date is the one the act was registered on and Maddalena Raspagliosi died (=morì) on the first day of the "current" month and year, which is March 1872.
Usually the date of death is the one nearest to the dead's name.
But still, I couldn't read the batch, so mine is just a supposition. Hope it helped!
