I created a printable editable pedigree in PDF format from this site: http://misbach.org/download/pedigree_chart.pdf
Instead of filling this out in the normal way, I added the individuals name, their cause of death and the age that they were when they died. I then calculated the average age of death for my direct ancestors. (I hope that I live many years longer than the average age!) I had several female ancestors that died young as a result of childbirth. Their ages drastically lowered the average age of death for the women. I noticed that father has lived longer than all of his known direct ancestors. My mother lived longer than most of her direct line ancestors. I was curious if I would find any significant causes of death that I should be concerned about.
