Still trying to track down the parents of Peter (Pehr, Petter, Per) Olsson born in Knista in 1777.

There are no birth records there at that time. I have a lead. There is a drang, Pehr Olsson born 1777 in Knista working in Brohytta in 1789-1793, page 133. He came from B:ag in 1790. I tried Brohyttan Agor, pages 136 and 225 but did not find him. What does B:ag mean?

Hello, I do not know about that place but there are birth records for year 1777 in Knista and one Peter Olofsson born at 28 Nov 1777 to parents Olof Ersson and Maria Pärsdotter in Hidinge by.

At that time Knista was a mother parish in pastorat of Knista and Hidinge.

Thanks for all that work Heidi but after looking at each of those records I'm not sure why you said this could not be my Peter Olofsson. I didn't see anything there that would exclude him. I'm not sure the Peter Olofsson was tracking was the right one either. I need to follow them both and see which one leads me to his wife, Kerstin Ersson, married 1803 in Kvista.

I was tracking the one living in Brohytta backwards to find out who his parents were. I got stuck because I don't know what B:ag where he came from means.

If you have tracked that drang, Pehr Olsson born 1777 in Knista working in Brohytta in 1789-1793, page 133, that he really is yours, then this cannot be yours. Because person cannot be in two places at the same time.

Your Pehr moved to Brohytta at -90​ and this Petter was still living in Hidinge at 93-96.

I understand that but my problem is I don't know which one is the right one. I just know OUR Petter Olsson was born in 1777 in Knista and married Kirsten Ersson in 1803 in Kvistbro. I'm trying to locate his parents but first I have to find the right Petter. I'll try to follow both if possible.
