For future reference, it's better to include the URL of the record, rather than just a small snip. We often need to see the full context of a page when deciphering old handwriting.

Le dix-neuf Février mil huit cent cinquante-quatre nous prêtre soussigné avons baptisé Noé né hier du légitime mariage de Jean Baptiste Godmer et d'Émilie Proulx, de cette paroisse. Parrain Thomas Leblanc, marraine Philomène Fortier qui, non plus que le père, n'ont pu signer.

Translation
On 19 February 1854, I, the priest who signed below, have baptized Noé, born yesterday of the legitimate marriage of Jean Baptiste Godmer and Émilie Proulx, of this parish. Godfather Thomas Leblanc, godmother Philomène Fortier, who, like the father, could not sign.

Great stuff. Thankyou. I see now there is godparents. I have seen Fortier before in documents

i have read. I will remeber to include a url nextime in my posts. The url for the Baptisim for noe did not come with it. It was from the Dorin Institue but know link with it.

@G3990 On the profile of Noé Godmer in the FS tree, I added the URL of the FS copy of his baptism during our earlier discussion.

@aine The Url you added was for the 1881 Census for noe Godmer. The other URL you added was for the marriage of JB and marie Charron.

The copy of the baptisim above was post by another poster there and there wasent a link just the souce text

for the Dorin institute. No link provided. That is a paid subsciber service.

Oh Yes i see it there. So the other post then was the same baptism also from here. hmmmmmm

I do remeber the Dourin name. I see the 1854 date on the attatched also. I missed that one and thought it was the marriage doc. You got that one to. I started on some translation of that one last night.

I got the french words list you you posted from the wiki. Man if i only had that before wow. I was making my own on paper but the wiki word list is literal perfection.

So far i i have got the first 16 words and am stuck on number17. I will go at it again tonight if not to late.
