I just put all my siblings (and my spouses' siblings), their spouses, and 2 generations
down in our group tree instead of my personal tree. Is there a way to pull that information down into my person tree? Do those stay in sync?
What about copying a portion of a group tree into another group tree? For example, my spouse's family has a group, and my family has a group. I made a group for my spouse and our children - and that's where I put all the information. Could I take my side's information of the tree and copy it into my parent's group, then take my wife's side's information of the tree and copy it into her parent's group?
I'm afraid I may need to go back and rebuild it all in my main tree then share it upward into the groups.

@Dan Meservy You've asked a number of really good questions here.

Not at this time. Currently you can only copy information from the private persons in your FamilySearch Tree to a family group tree. We are working on ways to copy information from a family group tree to your FamilySearch Tree or to copy from one family group tree to another, but that is not yet available.
Do those stay in sync?
No. There is no intention for the family group trees to be automatically synced with the private persons in your FamilySearch Tree. You can re-enter the Copy from FamilySearch Tree tool to copy new information to your FamilySearch Tree. During that process, the system tries to match everyone that you are copying with a profile that already exists in your family group tree. It shows you the matches and allows you to decide if they are correct. If so, then any new information or memories will be copied to the profiles in your family group tree. Be aware that the system currently copies ALL information in a profile, so if you have sensitive information in someone's profile, you may want to create and manage that profile manually so that sensitive information is not disclosed to the family group.

As above, this is not yet available, but the product team is working on a process to do this.

Yes. This is, unfortunately, what you would need to do at this time. Just remember that you are only copying living people's profiles. All the deceased ancestors exist in the FamilySearch Tree and are linked to the living profiles in your family group tree, just the same as they are in the FamilySearch Tree. If you only want to see 'one side of the family' delete the relationships between the living people and the deceased parents that you don't want to see within that group.
