AI Research Assistant recommending partial name matches from index-only records
IMO - the Research Assistant needs to be reigned in from making suggestions based on records the user can't view.
I've had several suggested matches today for a partial name match: McG* for an ancestor with the surname McGarrity. All of these were from index-only records - no image available on FamilySearch.
I knew where to find the images on other sites and could quickly see that the records were not for the suggested profile. Not only was the name not the same, but the place was also not the same. But, many users would not know where to find the images. Indeed, many images are not readily available online.
There are already far too many errors in the tree; we don't need AI to suggest more.
