What is your best practice?
Hello, Good Day to you.
What has been your best practice in Engaging your youth in FamilySearch nowadays?
I started a previous discussion and I was not quite sure if I posted it correctly since I did not receive any feedback from it. I am thinking that I attached tags to my last one and that might have been the reason.
I am hoping this Discussion provides me with the desired results.
Thank you,
Brother Perry Morris

Hello Br. Morris. I see no one has yet responded to this post. Maybe I can offer something helpful.
My first idea when it comes to engaging youth in Family History is to keep everything SIMPLE!
Keep the teaching simple, the activity simple, the concept simple. This will help both them and you!
One good example (if you are a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ) is to share with kids how to use Ordinances Ready. Once they are all able to become comfortable with Ordinances Ready, expand that to show them how to "View Relationships" of the ancestors they select through Ordinances Ready.
Another good example (for anyone) is to use the Get Involved Activities on FamilySearch. Most are super simple, but we can share with the youth how IMPACTFUL those activities are.
Best wishes to you!

Hello Amber, Since I don't know your last name I may call you sister Amber. I get called Brother Perry very often. I am so happy you took the time to respond to me.
Your suggestions and advice are much appreciated.
Based on your activity in this group do you anticipate any other Community Members will address my inquiry?
Are you a consultant working with a "Leader" ? If so how does your leader contribute to making these activities a success? Is your leader a member of this Community Group? The reason I ask that question is it would be wonderful to connect with your leader to also exchange success stories.
I will try out the ideas you passed on to me. If I have problems getting them off the ground may I reach back out to you?
Again thank you ever so much for your response.
Brother Morris
