Website to learn FamilySearch
Are you looking to learn how to use FamilySearch, or need a resource to help others learn? My family and I created a simple, step-by-step website that walks you through both the FamilySearch website and the FamilyTree app. You can learn it all in just 80 minutes!
Fifteen years ago, I was called as a Ward Temple and Family History Consultant, and I struggled to learn and teach FamilySearch. Since then, I went back to school and earned degrees in Elementary Education, Psychology, and School Counseling. When I was called as a Stake Temple and Family History Consultant, I saw that many others were still struggling to teach FamilySearch. So, I spent the last 2 1/2 years developing a way to make learning FamilySearch easier for everyone. I started by testing it out with combined Young Women/Young Men group activities in 8 of our wards and a few small groups. The success of those activities made me realize this approach could help so many more people, which is why my family created this website.
