are page customizations a possibility?
Is it possible and not too much trouble to get your web programmers to add in home page (and carried through with style sheets) customizations, such as "X-ing out" blocks of the page that we're not interested in seeing, as well as being able to add them back in later, choose background colors or png's as bkg, and font choices, etc.?
Oh, and if we could reorder the page elements ourselves, that would be the proverbial wasp's knees!
That would let us make our home pages ours and maintain less distraction if needed. Sounds like a lot of work but it wouldn't take that long actually (yup, done web programming). If they're using a CMS like Drupal or Joomla or (gasp, hope not) even Wordpress, there are already add-in modules to download that easily make these kinds of things possible. Even drag 'n drop is possible.
But if it would inhibit the forward progress of FamilySearch, best not.

@P. David Gardner This has been a request that has been mentioned numerous times and I believe is being considered. Most of the widgets on the new page can be collapsed but not removed or rearranged.
