I find it difficult to find feedback on pages
I like the idea of feedback from a web page you are are having issue on but the appearance of the feedback widget or lack there of, mystifies me. I would like to think that even though I retired from IT over a decade ago I am still able to discern a delivery pattern, but sadly no. As I see the feedback widget occasionally I don't think it is my browser.
I worked on the *nix boxes and one thing I learned very quickly is my clients wanted a simple interface, one that reflected what they had already experienced, and that delivered the shortest path to what they were looking for. They did not like hunting through web page after page. I instinctively reach for the contact us or help on most web pages for trouble reporting.
So my question is this: since the display of feedback is not consistent, why not include a "Report A Trouble" button immediately at the top of the familysearch-support-contact-us page. Beside offering a link at the bottom of most web pages, this page is also linked to from help . Next link "Report A Trouble" to a new web page that allows a report category selection and provides a user interface like this one so attachments can be included.
The advantage of this design is its independence from most of the web page changes. It provides a short but consistent alternative way to generate a report. If there is a problem with its delivery a smaller amount of code is at fault. I do not see this as a replacement to feedback concept, but a backup for situations where feedback is not either not present or the report is more encompassing than a single page. It would be the most logical way for users to report any missing feedback buttons that they find.
Thank you

There was a Feedback button on the page for over a year. Recently, the number of problems has diminished, and the suggestions for enhancements are also less, so the feedback button was discontinued.
But we did keep this community forum open, and you can continue to submit suggestions or problems, and I will send them on to the engineers. Just send the url or attach a screenshot.0
