Missing Records (Slovakia)
I've had great luck tracking down baptism records for most of my relatives from Slovakia (Kingdom of Hungary at the time), but one branch of the family is much more obscure because of missing records in the public collection.
For unindexed records, there are listed collections that come up in search that have no hyperlink: https://www.familysearch.org/records/images/search-results?place=2155282
When you click them, it says "Images are not available for this group yet. Try checking back later." But it has said that for a long time and there is no way to know when the status will ever change, and no way to sign up for a notification when the status does change.

I hoped to find records like this at a brick & mortar location, so I tried a local library branch that is a FamilySearch affiliate, but the search for these records produces the same results as the public one.
There is a FamilySearch Center near me, but it operates on very limited hours during the work day and all three times I've tried, they have been closed during open hours because of an illness and an internet outage.
Does anyone know of high-confidence ways to obtain these types of records?

The DGS for https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KH8L-RPY, 1739197, contains records as recent as 1952. For that reason, the entire DGS must be restricted to protect the privacy of records of the living.

DGS 4948403 contains records as recent as 1945.
There is a project working to split apart those DGS that cover many years. When that project is complete, we should be able to see the earlier records within a timespan.

It looks like it's still pointless to try to get information out of the Images section. Despite being several years out of date now, the Catalog is still vastly better. Unfortunately, what it says is that film 4948403 is not viewable online. (That's what the film reel icon now means.)

It looks to me like the culprit is item 2 on this film, which contains an index of baptisms up to 1945, and thus will not be public for another twenty years. FS is supposedly working on a means of breaking up such image groups so that access restrictions will not need to be enforced on an "all or nothing" basis, but for now, the only way to view these registers is to travel to either Salt Lake City or Slovakia.

That's a bummer. So it sounds like there would be no way to even view the microfilms at a FamilySearch Center outside of Salt Lake City?

Salt Lake City only or find someone based in SLC who can view for you.
