Theory - John Vadas SR. [GYQ3-9JM]
Hello! Not finding much on John (Joannes) Vadas SR [GYQ3-9JM] but I think that I have found his parents Julianna Lakatos & Joannes Vadas. I am looking for his wife, also not found. (Added mom there accidently)
Can someone prove my theory correct or help me disprove it? Hungarian records are proving hard to find. Perhaps post on the Austria-Hungarian community board?
Thank you!

If you're convinced that the 1904 Ellis Island arrival is "your" John's wife and daughter, then the Sopron county baptism is virtually certain not to be relevant. The manifest says they were from Lapispatak in Sáros county, 220 miles and nine counties from Csapod.
What made you decide on the Csapod baptism, anyway? Is there some other source that names Julianna Lakatos in connection with the family in Illinois?

OK, I did some more looking around in the family, reminded myself of some stuff, and looked things up in the gazetteers, and I am 110% certain that the Sopron county baptism has absolutely nothing to do with the Illinois family, but unfortunately, I do not have a replacement to offer.
Dvorzsák, page 493, Sáros county: Lapispatak, known also as Plosske or Ploszke, Roman Catholic church locally, 445 people, bishopric in Kassa; Greek Catholic 128 people, recorded in Királynép; Lutheran 68 people, recorded in Zsegnye; Reformed 7 people, recording location unknown; Jewish 55 people, recorded in Lemes.
Dvorzsák, page 14, Abauj-Torna county: Királynép, known also as Krajovci, Roman Catholic 179 people, recorded in Lapispatak in Sáros county; Greek Catholic church locally, 103 people, bishopric in Eperjes; Lutheran 102 people, recorded in Felső-Kemence; Reformed 5 people, recorded in Vajkóc; Jewish 13 people, recorded in Rozgony.
Relevant "translations": Lapispatak is now Ploské, Slovakia, and Királynép is now Kráľovce, Slovakia.
Mary Elizabeth Jusko's Petition for Naturalization says she was born in "Kralovci, Abavuska, Czechoslovakia" in 1902, her last foreign residence was "Ploske, Sariska, Czechoslovakia", and she entered the U.S. under the name "Vadas, Maria" on Sep. 21, 1904, on the Neckar.
Two-year-old Maria Vadas is on line 12 on page 121 for the Sep. 21, 1904 arrival of the "Neckar". Her last residence is "Lapispatik", and her destination is her father Janos Vadas in Streator, Illinois.
So I would answer my own question with "yes, the 1904 arrivals are definitely 'our' John's wife and child", and we're looking in northern Hungary, i.e., all places that are now in Slovakia.
Unfortunately, FS only has the Greek Catholic records for Királynép up to 1898, and the Roman Catholic records for Lapispatak up to 1895, i.e., too early for Mrs. Jusko's birth, and probably too early for her parents' marriage.
I paged through the Lapispatak RC marriages starting with 1895 [https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9R73-FGV?cat=743549&i=152] going back to 1889 and didn't see anyone named Vadas. Ditto for Királynépe GC 1898 [https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GRQY-HHS?i=443&cc=1554443] to 1888, Zsegnye Lutheran 1895 [https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-D52Q-B25?cat=701805&i=579&cc=1554443] to 1887, and Felsőkemence Lutheran 1898 [https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9R7W-5QV?cat=769287&i=16] to 1888.
