Wish List for ChromeOS Apps
I thought that I would start a discussion where we can list in one place apps that we would like to see added to ChromeOS. Here are my first two:
- Clipboard history, such as Clipboard Manager
2. The ability to change curser size and color. Yes, you can do that now, but the setting will be gone once the patron is signed out. We would like to have a permanent larger, colored, curser. We have many elderly that come in that need this, plus it is more important having two monitors where the curser is easily lost.

This is not an app but would love to have the ability to change line spacing in the word processing app, already included. The app is very limited as far as editing functions go.

Would like to have a simple calculator (+-/*) placed on the bottom task bar/Shelf. For ChromeOS Flex

Agree with a permanent/default mouse setting. The current "wheel" setting is so slooooow and a pain to reset every time. For ChromeOS Flex

I know you are looking for a permanent solution for enlarging cursors, Jaelene, but, at least, this shows a six step process that may be easy to utilize, daily.

We continue to have difficulty with the ChromeFlex OS computers seeing the Mission Office printer as their default. Our local FM tech people are having difficulty solving this, have others with the same problem solved it? If so, how and which Mission created a solution. My FM people would love to know how to help us.

@JerryKern , your suggested “daily” six step process would need to be done every time a patron ends a session. That can be quite a chore. Now multiply that effort by the number of computers in your FamilySearch center. For us that would be 16 computers. I can completely sympathize with @Jaelene Starr

@Chas Howell, I agree with you. The convoluted six-step process was offered only as a work-around for those "infrequent" cases where a user needed an extra large cursor. Otherwise, I'm sure headquarters could make large cursors a standard on all Flex machines by making a permanent settings change.
Happy Holidays.

AndersonMaryCatherine1: Our Chrome computers kept defaulting to the mission office in our building (we didn't have a problem with the Windows11 computers). Tech Support has figured out a fix by moving the Mission Office computers to a different network. You will need to call Tech Support (1-866-406-1830 opt 5) and they can handle that, but Tech Support will also need to speak with the Mission Office. So you should do this (or schedule it) when someone is available at both FSC and the Mission Office.
