Looking for a Translation of Civil Marriage Record for Hedwig Mandrisch
Hello,
Looking for a Translation of an 1880 Civil Marriage Record for Hedwig Mandrisch & Nicholas Chluba in Brzezie (Hohenbirken), Silesia, Germany. What I am looking for is whether the parents of Hedwig were alive or deceased at the time of marriage. Thanks, Brian

Hello @Brian Paul Kaess,
The bride, Hedwig Mandrisch, is identified as the "Tochter des verstorbenen Bauer Georg Mandrisch und dessen Ehefrau Johanna geborene Buron wohnhaft zu Brzezie" = daughter of the deceased farmer Georg Mandrisch and his wife Johanna, née Buron, residing in Brzezie.
Thus, the father was deceased at the time of this marriage and the mother was still living and residing in Brzezie.

Hello,
Also looking for a Translation of a Civil Marriage Record for Hedwig's sister Johanna Mandrisch & Josef Jendrzejczik who married in Brzezie (Hohenbirken), Silesia, Germany on November 12, 1883. I also need to know if the parents were alive or not at the time of nuptials. The scribling on the left seems to indicate that the Bride may have died in 1943. Thanks so much, Brian

Hello @Brian Paul Kaess,
The bride, Johanna Mandrisch, is identified in the 1883 marriage record as "Tochter des verstorbenen Bauer Georg Mandrisch und dessen Ehefrau Johanna geborene Buron wohnhaft zu Brzezie" = daughter of the deceased farmer Georg Mandrisch and his wife Johanna, née Buron, residing in Brzezie.
So again the father was deceased at the time of this marriage and the mother was still living and residing in Brzezie.
The note in the left margin states that the bride Johanna (Mandrisch) Jendrzejczik died on 18 August 1943 in Hohenbirken. Her death record is no. 25 in the year 1943 in the death register in the Hohenbirken Civil Registration Office.
P.S. If you still need both marriage records completely translated, please let me know.

Is there any way of determining religion from either of these two documents? Thank you for the wonderful info so far! Brian

You're welcome, @Brian Paul Kaess.
In the 1880 marriage record both the groom and the bride are identified as Catholic.
In the 1883 marriage record both the groom and the bride are identified as Catholic.
