Trouble changing display name
I'm trying to add the word "Cemetery" to the display name of
"Canajoharie Falls, Canajoharie, Montgomery, New York, United States", but the system won't let me do it. The Alternate name and the Display name are both "Canajoharie Falls", which happens to be the name of a nearby village and could cause confusion. I get an error message if I attempt to change the alternate name and it won't accept a change to the display name. Can someone help?
Find-A-Grave shows the name as "Canajoharie Falls Cemetery", but it was sourced from BillionGraves, which calls it just "Canajoharie Falls".

I was just able to enter the 'Place' name as "Canajoharie Falls Cemetery, Canajoharie, Montgomery, New York, United States"; and, then, "Standardise" that as whichever I wanted:
.
.
Steps:
.
(1) Enter the the 'Place' name as "Canajoharie Falls Cemetery, Canajoharie, Montgomery, New York, United States"
.
(2) Next; and, most important step; either, (i) select that 'Greyed'/'Highlighted' name that you have just entered; OR, (ii) select ANYWHERE outside of that 'Drop Down' Menu List with the "Standardised" 'Place names.
.
That second step is important.
.
NOW ...
.
Your entered preference for the 'Place' name will be set as you entered; and, the "Standard" will be set to the FIRST "Standard" on the 'Drop Down' Menu List with the "Standardised" 'Place names.
.
Which in this case is "Canajoharie, Montgomery, New York, United States" (ie. Town, 1874-present).
.
If you are happy with that; then, just leave that; and, "Save".
.
If you are NOT happy with that as the "Standard"; then, use the small 'Drop Down' "Arrow" on the "Standardized Event Place" line; select the "Standard" that you like/prefer; and, then, use that; and, "Save".
.
.
Done - all good - as you want.
.
I hope this helps.

Hi Brett, thanks for the answer, but I guess I need to be more specific. I am a FamilySearch Places volunteer. I'm trying to change the standard, and that is what I'm having trouble with.
The cemetery, without the word 'cemetery' in the place name can be confused with the village. When the name was added to the FamilySearch Places database from a list of names supplied by BillionGraves, it didn't include the word 'cemetery' in the place name and I'm trying to change that.
Thanks,
Lyle

Brett,
@lyleclugg1 is correct. The Standard name in the standards database needs to be changed to include the word Cemetery, Especially since the little village referred to as "Canajoharie Falls, Canajoharie, Montgomery, New York, United States" does NOT currently have a Standard name in the database
"Canajoharie Falls Cemetery" happens to be located in the "Canajoharie Falls" village area, but the Standards database doesn't allow for the difference to be discerned.
