Looking for Baptism Records in Wagstadt (Bilovec), Austria Church Books
Hello,
I am seeking help locating two Baptism Records of my Buron ancestors who were born in Wagstadt (Bilovec), Austria (now Czech Republic). The first sibling is Josephus Buron, b. March 3, 1726 in Wagstadt. The 2nd Buron sibling is Veronica Buron, b. November 23, 1727 in Wagstadt. Their parents were Georgius Buron and Catharina. With the aid of any records, one might be able to determine the surname of their Mother Catharina. I was hoping someone could help me look at Film # 1194210, DGS # 8243804. These are the Church Books for Wagstadt, or Cirkevná matrika, 1642-1890. They are in Latin, German & Czech.
Thanks again,
Brian

Record of Josephus is here (https://digi.archives.cz/da/permalink?xid=be83899a-f13c-102f-8255-0050568c0263&scan=7978edcbbeb1457495714ee678e059aa - note that he was born on 13 March), sister Veronice is here (https://digi.archives.cz/da/permalink?xid=be838abc-f13c-102f-8255-0050568c0263&scan=74b96bd30cd44da2a6e22a86b7e90cc9). Unfortunately, birth records at this time did not include the mother's maiden name. For that you have to find a marriage record, while the marriage usually took place in the bride's birthplace (which complicates the whole thing).

These are wonderful baptism records. I was hoping for just one more. For my ancestor Jacobus Buron (b. 1724 in Wagstadt, Austria), also a sibling to the rest. I am not sure how solid the birth year is, so there may be a range here. Thank you for any help. Brian

I was wondering Joseph- is there any way you can find a marriage record for Jacobus Buron and Johanna Horack? Thye begin having children in Bitov (1748) and Poruba (1751), if that helps. Moreover, any burial records for either Jacobus or Johanna would be great too.
Much Obliged,
Brian

Any idea when Jacob and Johanna died and where they last lived?

Jacobus Buron (abt 1724) and Johanna Horack were married in June 1747 in Wagstadt, Austria (now Bilovec, Czechia) and they appear to have had 11 children from 1748 to 1770. The first child Joannes Buron was born in Bitov in 1748, but after that the remainder were born in Poruba. The marriage date was provided by Michael Buron, a relative. Maybe you can pull the Marriage Record? Thanks for your help.

The numbers are the folio numbers (original page numbers) found in the top corners of each page. This not the digital page number.

Also, looking for the Elder Georgius Buron's (1652-1749) Marriage Record to Catherina from the Wagstadt, Austria (Bilovec) area as per usual about this family. They definitely seemed to start having kids by 1724, but may have begun earlier, as there is no Baptism record for 1st Son Jacobus Buron. These Marriage Records are really great! Brian

Could use a Translation of Cristina Buron's January ?, 1754 Marriage Record from Wagstadt, Austria (Bilovec). Groom unknown. Georg Buron appears as Father of Kristina. Record appears on the right, 4th from the bottom. Here is Link:
Thanks for all your help!

The Translation was Great! I built the tree a little bit with the stuff you have found. I was hoping you could also locate the Elder Georgius Buron & Catharina's Marriage Record, previously requested. I guess I asked for two in a row there.
Thanks,
Brian

I will work on that tomorrow. My brain is tired now and the site is not working.

Usually, the marriage takes place in the bride's church. From your cousin's research can you find another village for the bride?

Do you know how to maneuver around the Opava Archive site? I prefer it. I would be glad to teach you how to understand it.

I vaguely understand it. I'm ok maneuvering through images on a set of records (like the ones you have sent already hyperlinked), but finding the exact group can be hard for me when doing it alone- where to start when you want to find a group of Baptism/Marriages for a particular village or time range?
Also, I don't think my Buron Cousin included anything on Catharina other than her name, but I'll take a look.

Still looking for the Burial records of Jacobus Buron and Johanna Horack. They marry in Wagstadt in 1747 and begin having children in Bitov (1748) and Poruba (1751), if that helps. This might help pin down birth years as well.
Also looking for a Burial record for Catharina (d. after 1734), wife of Georgius Buron (b. abt 1652- d. 1749 in Wagstadt, Austria). It appears they had their last child in 1734. Catharina may have been substantially younger than her husband Georg. Burial records seem like such a 'goosechase' compared to birth/marriage stuff.

There are no indexes for 1727-1784. This will require you to go through the deaths page by page in the last parish that they lived in. I would write down any other Burons that you come across. I do not have the time to complete this, but am willing to look at any records that you have questions.

Here is a random death record page in Wagstadt to get you in the right time frame for searching. Hint: mark down the record's signature number(see above), what years, digital image numbers, and names you searched.
