Is it 1597 or 1600. The Ancestry is showing both dates one for 1597 or 1600 needing to know which is correct.

LY5-B2Q is not a valid PID. Perhaps you meant LY5R-B2Q for Richard Cocke ~1597 - ~1665. That profile has a baptism/christening record from 1597 attached.
You don't say exactly where on Ancestry you found a conflicting record. Is it an Ancestry tree or is it a baptism/christening record?

Please view the "Source Information" on the U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900 collection. It's an old compilation with limited reliability.
https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/7836/
Source materials for these marriage records include family group sheets, pedigree charts, family history articles, queries, letters, Bible records, wills, and manuscript genealogies.
What you have from the Ancestry database is an estimated birth year, not an exact birth record. Meanwhile, the baptism attached to the PID has an exact year and is more likely to be accurate. It is, however, a baptism, not a birth record. Infants were usually baptized quickly in that time period.
Hope this helps.

@Connie Bluhm I'm sure there are many men of the same or similar names born/baptized about that time. A quick search of English baptisms from 1590 to 1610 returns 34 baptisms for men named Richard Cocke.
If you need help determining which records pertain to your Richard, I suggest you post in the British Isles Research group, since he was born in England.
Best of luck with the search.
