Week 17 (April 19-April 25) Did you have any ancestors that wrote stories or poems? Have you uploa
My mother had been working on a romance novel for several years before she died. I had a printed copy of her manuscript and a lot of hand written editing notes. I have spent the last few days working on this project. I never felt like I had time to put it together for her.
I used google docs and the voice dictation function. I was able to read the manuscript to the computer and add her extra comments and make the changes. It sounded funny when I read "quotation mark, question mark, new paragraph, etc. as I was reading the pages outloud. The dictation wasn't perfect, but it was a lot faster than retyping this. I could have scanned the pages, but the handwritten editing marks would have caused problems.
If you don't have anything to share for your ancestors, do you have something that you have written that your descendants might want to see?
If this prompt doesn't work for you, please commit yourself to a different one.

My Mother loved to write magazine articles. My favorite article, because it included her photo and her home, was published in the Dun Rovin' Magazine in 1994. Among other places she had at least one story published in the Children's Friend. I hope to share a copy of all of these in the Memories section on FamilySearch.org

Several of us have been adding poetry and writings from Mary Noel Rigby. She self published a couple of little booklets of poetry. Sometimes the poems overlapped. I finally made a master index so that I could keep track of what was already posted.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think that memories trigger hints.
