Marriage record of Ingeborg Andersdatter and Karl Peder
The next to last entry on the left page is the marriage record of Ingeborg Andersdatter and Karl Peder. I don't recognize the first letter of his surname.
I'd be SO grateful for some help with this record.
thanks in advance,

Good question! Thank you for asking about this.
To begin with, the groom's first name is Peder, not Karl Peder. The "karl" you are referring to is part of "unge karl" which is "bachelor". See Danish/English word list here:
.I believe that his patronymic surname is "Jensen". It is an unusual "J", but the rest of the name is definitely "ensen". The 1801 Census for Højen, Veije parish lists a Peder Jensen married to Ingeborg Andersdatter with 2 children: Jens born in 1798 and Karen born in 1799. I can't be 100% certain that this is the same couple as your marriage record, but it is quite possible. The indexed census record is here:
. Peder Jensen in this census is born approximately 1760 and Ingeborg Andersdatter is born about 1773. Keep in mind that census dates can be off a few years. If you click on the tab marked "Original Source", you can see the original record. It is not in the indexed record, but the original census says that this is both Peder's and Ingeborg's first marriage. The fourth column (after their ages are listed) reads "Givt 1ste gang - married first time". In the same column for Ingeborg there is a dash, which, I am assuming means the same as "ditto". At least, it seems to be the meaning in the other entries.
The marriage record says that Peder is from Fredsted which is a farm in a neighboring parish, Øster Starup.

Thank you so much!
I can't believe I missed the unge karl—I know better.
You've given me a LOT to work with!
