- Which activities are you asking about? The things under Activities are mostly just informational — they don't create anything, except for Record My Story. The My Story area, on the other hand, has all sorts of opportunities to create new memories. Those Memories will be added to your Gallery, and in most cases you'll have the opportunity to tag them to a person, in which case, they will appear on the appropriate person page(s).
- To use the Together App (or any FamilySearch app), you need to sign in, which requires you to have an account (you can use the third-party options such as Google or Facebook to sign in, but ultimately that will create an account behind the scenes). You have to be at least 13 years old to create an account (children 8-12 can create an account with parental permission).

The Activities I am Talking about are the one in the New Together app.
Like the Favorites activity ( Favorite foods, animals, sports, etc.)
In the New Family tree will they still need to have a family search account and Membership # to use the Together app.

Some of the activities under My Story in the Together app will create Memories, and others will not. You asked specifically about the Favorites, and they do not create Memories. But the My Family Members section does create Memories.
You do need a FamilySearch Account in order to participate in a Family Group, although you are welcome to sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, etc., which options let you sign in without directly creating a FamilySearch Account. There's no requirement to have a membership number to participate.

The My Favorites activities in the Together app do not save to your Memories Gallery. The My Story items that you type or record stories, do. The My Favorites do post to the feeds for any Family Groups that you choose to share them with. They will show up on group members' Home page feed and on the Group Details page of any group that you have shared them with.
If you upload a photograph through the Together app, it will save to your Memories Gallery. You can also use the @ symbol to tag it to Family Group Tree profiles or Family Group members.
The other activities, such as Compare-a-Face, Ancestor Challenge and Picture-My-Heritage do not currently save to your Memories Gallery, and currently can only be shared to outside social media (not through the Together app).
While the app has specially designed activities to interest children, children are not able to have their own FamilySearch Account until they are 8 years old.
