Full Text searching of Restricted Image Access records collections
There are 64 parishes in Louisiana but only 8 of them are listed within the “PLACE” filter when using the wonderful new Full Text search feature.
Knowing that many Louisiana record collections are ‘restricted image access’, I drove 30 minutes to my nearest Family Search Center where I expected to research De Soto Parish using Full Text.
I was disappointed to discover that, even at the FSC, I could not use Full Text searching except in those scant 8 parishes that are not restricted access. No one at the FSC was even aware of Full Text searching yet.
Can you tell me when or why or how I can use the power of Full Text searching when restricted image access collections are involved?

Restrictions are imposed by the repository/owner of the original documents and are outside the control of FamilySearch. Until a restriction is lifted by the owner, we are unable to provide specific information on the document unless it is searched in a FSC or, in some cases, at the Family History Library. Although we continue to work with repositories to get restrictions lifted whenever we can, the restrictions prevent us from using the Full Text Search tool to search those records at this time.
