Searching for info on a General Clerc
Sulpice Clerc fought with 1st Napolean in Battle of Austerlitz, knighted by him as "De Saint Clerc". This Sulpice (son of Sulpice and Catherine Buschot Clerc) born ca. 1780 in Saint Mesmin, Cote d'Or, married 1807 in Paris to Anne Marie Josephe Grandfils. Seems like there are several generals Clerc/LeClerc - cannot find any mention of this particular individual. Info as per his granddaughter Henriette Clerc biography attached. His son, also named Sulpice (Alexander Louis Sulpice Clerc) married Marie Josephe Virginie Clerc in Paris 1830. He opposed Napolean III and was a conspirator, having to leave France (seems like the same for brother Louis Prosper Alexander Clerc with several prison records). Again sourcing bio of Henriette Clerc.
Anyone out there with knowledge of who this particular General Clerc could be? Found several same-named high level military but nothing that seems to match. Bio also calls him "LeClerc" - don't know why.
Thank you in advance. If anyone knows anything much appreciated. Also any professional genealogist recos in Paris.
