Help to find more information regarding Parents & Sibling for George & Katharina (Nirschl) Kellner
Hello,
I am hoping that someone would be able to assist and/or help me find out more information about Michael Kellner & Katharina (Rampf) Kellner the parents of Georg and Anna Maria. From the attached document we believe they raised their children in the area of Hiltersried, Bavaria, Germany. If Michael & Katharina had more siblings we are current unaware.
The son Georg Kellner on Jan 11th, 1885 married Katharina “Kate or Katie” Nirschl from Irlach/Tiefenbach district. There three oldest children were born in Germany.
- Georg Kellner: Born: Sept 22nd, 1862 in Hiltersried
- Katherina “Kate or Katie” (Nirschl) Kellner: Born: Feb 18th, 1867 born in the district of Irlach/Tiefenbach
Three Children of Georg & Kate born in Germany are:
- Georg Jr.: Born: Jan 31st, 1886 in Hiltersried; died in Germany (what happened to him?)
- Johann "John": Born: Feb 3rd, 1887 his doc's say Berlin
- Michael "Mike": Born: Nov 5th, 1889 in Coblenz
I also would like to find out more information regarding Katharina Nirschl and who were her parents and siblings. They were born in Irlach/Tiefenbach district of Germany. I have no other information.
George & Katharina immigrated to Spring Valley, Pierce, Wisconsin in 1889/1890.
Rest of their children were born in Spring Valley, Pierce, Wisconsin
- Joseph "Joe": Jun 14th, 1891
- Mary: May 18th. 1893

- Kathleen "Kay" or "Katie": Jul 31st, 1897

- Anna "Ann" Dec 16th, 1901
- Andrew Daniel "Dan": Oct 2nd, 1903
- Margaret: Aug 28th, 1907
George’s sister Anna Maria “Mary” (Kellner) Drexler was born Jul 7th, 1860. Mary on Oct 10th, 1883 married George Drexler, and they lived in Rötz, Germany and raised their then
children (4 boys & 6 girls).
Thank you

The good news is that the Hiltersried records are readily available online for free. You might want to start by looking up the records cited in the email and then perhaps browse to see if there are other records of interest. Here is George Kellner's 1862 baptism:

Edit to add: I went ahead and looked at the birth register book for Tiefenbach and found a Catharina Nischl born 18 February 1866:
https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/deutschland/regensburg/tiefenbach/Tiefenbach+009/?pg=64
This might be your Katharina Nischl. You can go to the baptism records for Tiefenbach and it gives her parents.

Further edit:
That is indeed your Katharina Nischl. I looked at the marriage record in Hiltersried and it gives her birth date as 18 Feb 1866:

The birth record for Katharina Nischl says her mother Barbara is the daughter of Georg Vögel of Neudeck. It appears that Neudeck records are under Dietchschirchen. The marriage register lists a 14 Feb 1820 marriage for a Georg Vögel of Neudeck. You might be able to find the birth record for Katharina Nischl's mother Barbara Vögel in the Dietchschirchen records.

The marriage of Katharina Nischl parents 10 July 1864. Her mother had a prior marriage:
https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/deutschland/regensburg/tiefenbach/Tiefenbach+007/?pg=324
It gives her mother's (Barbara) birthdate as 15 July 1823 in Neudeck. Here is her baptism record (Anna Barbara Vögel) with both parents names:

Circling back to Michael Kellner & Katharina (Rampf) Kellner, here is their 1858 marriage record which gives their birth dates and parents names:

I see that I have misspelled Nirschl as Nischl throughout my reply above. It is written in the documents as Nirschl.
