Failed to attach memory for unknown reasons

I have two shared family trees and tried to upload the same memory to both trees.

Action: uploaded to the first tree. Adjusted visibility settings: Limited - choose access - select both trees. Attempted to attach memory to the person's profile in the second tree.

Expected: Attachment succeeds.

Actual: Attachment fails with message "failed to attach [file name]"

Errors in the log don't look related, but attaching here just in case.
