Intent on old duplicates for children and such???

Unofficial comments from me whom am just another user: I would just leave them. There is certainly no overwhelming need to delete any of them. Also, if someone misbehaves and gets kicked out a group, that person will likely want to still have the profiles he or she created in his or her own private space. Or if the administrator gets annoyed with his family and deletes the group, the other members will also most likely want to still have their own private profile copies.
Also, who knows, maybe the programmers will come up with a way to sync changes in the family group profiles back to our own private profiles someday.

There is no policy set up for how many or where duplicate profiles can or should exist, but understanding the purpose and usage of the Family Group Tree tool will help to guide you and those you teach in the best use of the tool for each person using it.
