What my family can see
I added a Family Group Tree via computer to my already existing family group. I brought in all of my living family (children, grandchildren, and great grand children). I can see all of them on my computer and iphone, but they can only see themselves and their children. The siblings do not show up for them. Also, the individuals who were already part of that group are needing to be invited again in order for the tree feature to become available. The tree also populated all of the deceased. Is that normal?

@CasonMaryMargaret It sounds like you have copied all of your descendants from your Private List into your Family Group Tree, but it doesn't sound like you have invited all of them to join you in that group. Click on the INVITE button. Do you see lots of names that have an INVITE link to the right of the name? Or are most of the individuals shown with a blue checked circle and 'Group Member' next to their names?
A Family Group Tree profile that has INVITE showing next to their name has not yet been associated with a user account.
All of those individuals who were already in the Family Group should see a pop-up then next time that they go to the group. The popup explains what Family Group Trees are and requires the same submission rules that you saw when you turned on the Tree feature. Once they accept those rules, they will get a popup that asks them to find themselves in the Family Group Tree. They will see this same list, except it will show which profiles from the Family Group Tree are already associated with a group member . (Note: if the group member is female, it only shows the female profiles from the Family Group Tree. If user is male, it will only show the male profiles.)
If you go to the Group Members list, you can associate each of those individuals already in the group with a specific individual in the tree and when they next come into the tree, they are asked to confirm that is who they are.
Yikes! That sounds so confusing!
Ok, Here's a screenshot of a group members list:
#1. She was already a member of the group. She came in and got a message about the tree connectivity, found her profile in the tree and linked to it. (This looks just the same if I had sent her an invitation after creating the Tree and she had accepted that invitation.)
#2. He was already a group member. I have indicated which profile in the Family Group Tree shows his information, but he has not yet visited the Family Group, accepted the submission rules and agreed that profile in the tree is him, so it shows 'Pending'
#3. She was already a group member. She has not visited the group since we have turned on the tree. I have not linked her to a specific profile in the Family Group Tree. So it shows the link to SELECT STARTING PERSON.
I hope this helps you understand better where each of your family members are in the group! Come back and ask if you have further questions!

Thank you for your response. This is making a bit more sense. I'm still confused about the #1 example. I don't think she got a message about the tree. Does that not happen until she clicks into FS. When she went to the group on her phone, it only showed her family, not any of her siblings who all show on the phone in my tree. Would this be on the computer version and/or phone? Many of my children and grandchildren use their phones for almost everything. Is this going to show on the phones?
I am understanding #2 and #3 examples above. I'm just still confused about those who are seem to be already connected but not seeing the whole family group.

Do your children see these arrows beside their profile in the tree?
They should see them if you have entered more than one of your children. Those arrows should open up to show their siblings. If you have entered multiple children and those children do not have those arrows, can you send a screenshot of your tree?

Thank you for your feedback on the Family Group Trees. There have been many changes and updates over the last few months, including the instructions. Please review these and if you find you are still having difficulties, please start a new post in this group.
