Need to Modify Invite Screen for Those of Other Faiths
The first thing that hits a person on the invite screen is "easily share temple ordinances." Most of the people in the world using FamilySearch are not LDS. Please make the invite screen more universal and acceptable to everyone, especially those estranged from the LDS church.

In my tests, public users who create a Family Group see no temple options. If they invite a relative to join their Family Group tree who does have a church record number tied to their account—that person will see temple options.

That's correct--but please see the attached invite screen. They need to remove the "easily share temple ordinances" line from the top. Otherwise, we will not be able to use the family group trees for our family.

This is what I see on an invitation to a "public" user. Below is an invitation to join the same group—but sent to a person who has a church account.

Thank you, That’s good to know, but we’re talking about people who have left the church, hopefully temporarily, but still have a Church account. When they see that statement to easily share Temple ordinances, that rubs more salt in the wound. I feel they just need to take that statement off both public and church accounts. Or give us the option of including that statement.

I also submitted this on the feedback tab on "Shared Family Groups," and the developers said: "Good catch. Thank you. We will fix that this week."
Thank you Miss Jessie for your great answers, comments, and support.

humm, I'm of a little different opinion, if you use a Church account to sign-in you should expect to see Church stuff, active or Inactive, and if you have removed your membership then you should not be able to sign-in with a Church account, but should be signing in with a normal Public account. Just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinion; I think we will need to agree to disagree here. In our family (as in many others in the world), we have some who were very active in the Church but are now estranged, but have not gone so far as removing their membership, so they still have a Church account. (And I certainly hope there will never be a mechanism to check to see how "active" or "less active" someone is, or whether they qualify for a Church account!) We see the new family group trees as something that may help heal our family--but it will not do that if the first thing they see is a statement saying "easily share temple ordinances." I certainly hope the developers will see that reasoning and either remove that statement or give us a toggle switch to turn it on or off, or customize it depending on whom we are inviting.

This should be hidden if the family members have turned off "Show Temple Options" in their account settings.

I agree that if you created the group without checking the share ordinances option the "Easily share temple Ordinance" message shouldn't show.

There have been several updates to these messages and the whole invitation system and this Temple Ordinances remark should have been removed. If you find there are still issues with the invitations, please start a new post.
