Townland of Hannahstown, County Antrim, Ireland - Name Mispelling
The Townland of Hannahstown in County Antrim is currently misspelt in the FamilySearch Placenames Database. It appears on one of two forms, depending on the date....
Hannah's Town, County Antrim, Ireland: Townland Unknown - 1922
Hannah's Town, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom: Townland 1922 - Present
In both cases these are correct, except for the name of the townland, which should be "Hannahstown". Thus, one word, no apostrophe.
The attached page on Hannahstown from Irish Townlands online database gives some detail on the townland and serves to support this proposal for a correction of the spelling.
Thank you for considering this.

@Maile L thank you. You have shown me an aspect of FamilySearch that I hadn't previously been aware of!
I have now submitted two improvement suggestions One for the location up to 1922 and for after 1922.
Do you know if there is a method of tracking the progress of suggestions?

If you submit a request for a suggested, per below, you will not notified via email. "How do I suggest a new place to FamilySearch Places?" These are created with a status of Provisional. They can be used right away for a Standarized Place. They acted upon, as time permits.
If you use the link "How do I correct or edit a place in FamilySearch Places?"; these create an email in the places feed back system. Usually you will get a reply. We see you requested one of these, and you should have received an email reply on 2/27/2024.
