Why not create a Family Narrative. Write down a set of questions about yourself eg. what is my favorite color, where were my parents from, where did I go to school, what kind of ice cream do I like, what did I want to be when I grew up, when is my anniversary, etc. Give copies of your questions to your family members or other friends and have each of them write down their answers. Sit down with those who might be present or video conference with those that aren't and hear their responses and then share the correct answers. Have other members do the same thing.
You have now begun your own Family Narrative, you have found a way to be connected or reconnected with your family. Don't forget to write your Narrative down and make it part of your Family History. Don't be afraid to create your own way to connect, reconnect and stay connected

Love this. I am beginning to see more clearly lately that having a family narrative is imperative in creating a strong family unit, even with those beyond your immediate connections.

How many people spend a large portion of their life documenting their ancestors
and hardly leave anything at all to their descendants about THEMSELVES.
