To get the date, could you put up a link or give us the place where this baptism took place? The copy here is quite blurred and it may help to be able to look at other entries to figure out the date.

The year is supposed to be 1775, the place Gudum og Fabjerg, Ringkøbing. The link: https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10455-18082673/maren-in-denmark-church-records
Thanks!

This book has records for 2 different parishes-Gudum and Fabjerg. The left hand pages are Gudum Parish and the right hand pages are for Fabjerg Parish. Assuming (big assumption here) that the dates are chronological then the date before the christening of Maren is 15 March. The date for the entry after Maren's christening is (I think) Judica, 2 April (the second Sunday before Easter-also known as the 5th Sunday in Faste) (see the moveable feast days for 1775 here: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Denmark:_Moveable_Feast_Days_in_1775 ).
IF the entries are chronological, then that leaves 2 dates that Maren's christening could have occurred on. 19 March 1775 (4th Sunday before Easter-aka 3rd Sunday in Faste) or 26 March 1775 (2nd Sunday before Easter-aka 5th Sunday in Faste).
However, the entry may read: 2nd Sunday in Faste which would be 12 March 1775, placing it chronologically before the preceding entry (15 March). In this case, these entries were not entered in the order that they occurred. I will be at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City tomorrow and if I have time I will look for the film and see if I can get a better idea of what the date may be.

Thank you for going the extra mile. I have a question about the phrase: "She was carried by Johane Poivelsdatter." Does this mean carried at the baptism or carried for nine months? Can we assume that she is the mother?

She carried to the font.

Since she has the same last name as the father, the likelihood is that she is his sister, i.e. the child's aunt. Children are usually borne to the font by someone other than the mother.

The film at the Family History Library definitely shows the christening as the "2nd week in Faste" which makes it 12 March 1775.
