Need help reading Norwegian criminal records
I found two record, and was able to read enough to know this is my relative: Karl Sem Sørensen - 5709 in the photo page (bottom L).
Do either of them tell WHY he was incarcerated, and when it started/ended? (any other interesting tidbits would also be welcome!)

@Liv Anderson2 There's a lot here, I'd love to see how you interpret it.

Hi, here is a rough translation. It would be great for @Liv Anderson2 to take a look at it too. I tried looking up the chapter and section of the law he broke and it seems that his crime was fornication with a young girl. It also seems that his original sentence of one year was lessened.

Is there a way to find out what crime he did?
I wonder if it might be adultery. He had a child born in May 1899, just a few months before he got out - the mother was then married to someone else. (L5KG-ZDL)

I found TWO "mug shots" of his brother Anders Johan Sørensen (Rapstad) f/ 24 Sept 1871- both AFTER Karl was released. First was in a record for 1901-1902 (https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/58527/72), 2nd was 1913-1915 (https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/58534/37).
