New paper articles from Luton Today 2004 ?
Does anyone understand the britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/titles/luton-news-and-bedfordshire-chronicle site?
When I did a search on Bing I got an answer from Bings " AI-powered copilot for the web"
It gave me an interesting answer which was,
"I’m sorry to hear that. I found the following information about Evelyn Constance Smith’s death on March 31, 2004 in Luton, England:
- According to the England and Wales Death Registration Index, Evelyn Constance Smith passed away in Luton, Bedfordshire, England at the age of 85 .
- The Luton Today newspaper also reported her death on April 2, 2004 .
I hope this information helps."
I went to the following site which I don't really understand. It doesn't seem to have any records from 2004 but it seems to say that it does? So I'm confused . The death day seems right so the article would be interesting to see.
Its curious that when I ask the AI for further info it cant seem to tell me anything more. But it clearly found something from 2004.

What data are you looking for? You can order a copy of the death certificate via the internet from the General Register Office - no ocean voyage needed.
Have you tried contacting Luton Today direct? Website is https://www.lutontoday.co.uk/

Thanks for asking. I'm not really looking for death certificate. Although that would be helpful I'm sure. And since I dont really know what the article says, its hard to say. Id be interested in any info that listed something about her life.
I did look at lutontoday but could not see anything that mentioned archives. This is why I looked at the British Newspaper Archive, but it does not have my year that I'm interested in.
Regards.

Why not contact them and ask? There is a contact us link at the bottom of the web page.

Well I did some research and found a link to and archive that the newspaper manages. It nicely has years and day of stories that you can click on. However 2004 when you click on it has nothing, empty. As do many in that era. So initially they seem to have nothing on line in that time frame.
Yes I may contact them, however we shall see if they only have it in Microfiche in person or what?? All I can do is ask.
Thanks.

Some kind person at the newspaper might be willing to do a look up for you.
