In the year 1838 on 1 May at 7 o'clock in the morning, appeared before me, Philipp Jacob Schall, mayor and civil registrar of the town Pfiffligheim in Kanton Pfeddersheim, 1) Alexander Mann, 42 years old, broker residing in Pfiffligheim, related as son of the deceased, and 2) Andreas [Schwendler or Schwencker?] 37 years old, baker residing in Pfiffligheim, related as neighbor of the deceased, and declared to me that Samuel Mann, 75 years old, husband of Johanna nee Salomon, born in Pfiffligheim, residing in Pfiffligheim, whose parents were 1) Alexander [Lerin?] who while alive was a broker in Pfiffligheim, and 2) his wife Reginen nee N.N. [not known] who while alive lived in Pfiffligheim, died 30 April 1838 at 9 o'clock in the morning, house lit. no. 67 on Kreuzgasse, and the informants signed the current document with me after it was read to them.
