St. Anne's Parish, Albemarle County, Virginia
I am looking for the family of John T.(Thomas) Quick who was a member of St. Anne's Parish. Specifically, I am trying to link his son Joshua Quick (1793-1880) to his father John T. Quick (1760-4 March 1831) who was a Revolutionary soldier. Joshua Quick married Mildred Foster and his brother Charles Franklin Quick married Samantha "Patsy" Foster. I have found the Marriage Bonds for each of them in which the girls' father Allen Foster gave his permission for both marriages. So two Quick brothers married two Foster sisters. However, I need something that will tie Joshua Quick to his father. I am hoping to find the Quick family names in the St. Anne Parish register or community but I don't know where to look. I would appreciate any help someone kind person could offer. Thank you. Marcella

There is a John Quick (K6SR-VN1) listed in a family tree on FamilySearch.org. In this family tree it lists his spouse and children. One of the sources listed for this John Quick connects him to one of his daughters, Delphy or Delphia Quick (G4TX-YV2). See marriage document at the following link: Virginia, County Marriage Records, 1771-1989; https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C91Q-WSPK-J?cc=2134304
In an 1880 Federal Census it lists Joshua Quick (LCDH-GSD) and his spouse Mildred (LCDH-L15) living with one of his daughter’s (Lucinda (2XNR-BM4) family in West Virginia. Apparently Joshua passed away that same year in Randolph County, West Virginia.
You mentioned hoping to find the Quick family names in the St. Annes Parish Register or the community. I noticed in FamilySearch under St. Annes Parish records it mentioned that the Parish Registers did not survive. Go to the following link: St. Annes Parish, Albemarle County, Virginia Genealogy • FamilySearch and following statement: Parish Records[edit | edit source]
Colonial parish registers do not survive.
However, I did notice a considerable amount of information listed about the Quick family at the MyHeritage website. See following links: John Quick - FamilySearch Family Tree - MyHeritage , Family Trees - MyHeritage , Joshua Quick - Lockhart - MyHeritage. For John Thomas Quick and family it also lists more records at Geni World Family Tree. Click on the following link: Geni - John Thomas Quick, Sr. (1730-1831) The site lists names of those that entered the information. You may notice some inconsistencies but by contacting those that have entered the information may gain additional insight into your ancestors' lives and the background information you are searching for.
I hope some of what I have provided will be helpful in learning more about the Quick family.
Best of luck.
