Why are Options not there?
I don't see any Option switches for some option features cited. Are these being worked on?
The ancestry lines and arrows for expansion between nodes are very faint; the old view showed them much more clearly (dark mode). Also research hint icon is hard to see in dark mode. Make it bright blue like the old view.
Old request: in Pedigree view, can "Add Spouse" node be dismissed if, say, the person died as a child? It will never be filled and just takes up space.
I like that you can go directly to a person's page now from the node rather than having to pop up the person first.

Sorry for misunderstanding your comment, @ScottStieg. The options actually change, based on what pedigree view your are currently in. It sounds like you are in the portrait view, which does not yet have the option for alternate parents or spouses, and also does not remove portraits as completely as the landscape view does when you have portraits disabled. If you are concerned about maximum utilization of the available space, the landscape view, with portraits and marriages disabled would be much more ideal for you. As stated above, we are still working on the color scheme.

The options button is right in the same place it was in the old view, in the upper-right corner of the pedigree view
We are still working on the final color scheme for the new pedigree views, especially for dark mode.
There have been numerous requests to remove the various add buttons and nodes if a person or couple has been noted to have no children, and we are working on implementing this change. It is more involved than you might expect.

Hi Clif: Thanks for reply. With the Options, I meant that there are only 5 options, but the docs say there are several more; for example, whether alternative spouses show. I don't see that one.
While I'm on about this, I will have to say I still prefer the old pedigree view, mainly because the layout is more compact and readable. The portrait areas in the new view are much larger, crowding out the text which is what you really need to see in the array. If you can turn portraits off, you should be able to use the area for text. Also, in Inverted / Dark mode, the new background is too dark; the old view had a much lighter gray shade making it easier to see the nodes and connection lines.
I know the trend in web pages, etc. is to have a lot of white space and giant pictures and fonts, but I must say I don't like this trend; there is getting less and less info on a screen per scroll. True on the person page too.

In the interim, we have managed to add the missing options to the portrait pedigree view, as well as modify the new dark theme to better match the old one, and make better use of the available space. Enjoy.
