England Jurisdictions 1851 maps
Is anyone having difficulty connecting to the England Jurisdictions 1851 historical maps project? I was using it fairly often some time ago and recently I'm having difficulty loading the site. I have tried it from several different connection points including using this url: https://www.familysearch.org/mapp/ as well as connecting from the link on the England Genealogy page in FamilySearch under the heading "More England Research Tools". So far I have not been able to successfully connect to the site. Is the maps project having problems again? I recall when it was down for many months going through an overhaul.
I am running Windows 11 on a DELL laptop if that matters.

I can get in without a problem which, given that my internet connection is being erratic at the moment, is quite remarkable!
May be worth trying the usual list if you have problems accessing FamilySearch
- Try again - there may have been a temporary glitch.
- Have you turned your computer off since last trying? If not then reboot.
- Try using a different browser
- Check that your browser is up-to-date (eg. for Chrome, click on the three vertical dots on the far right, click help, click About Google Chrome)
- Clear FamilySearch cookies - go to https://www.familysearch.org/cookies
- If all of the above do not work, try clearing all of your temporary files and cookies in your browser (for Chrome this is the 3 dots again, Settings, Security & Privacy, Clear browsing data).

I find this map to be a vital tool and am very grateful, thanks!
I keep it open on a tab in my browser. https://www.familysearch.org/mapp/#search
It's been working fine for me for weeks. (Mac OS, Brave Browser)
If there is a group who works on features for this, a "heat-map" of surnames or records by county would be another valuable tool. My surname seems more popular in certain Shires.
