FindMyPast Partner account
I just received an email from FindMyPast extending regret that my US FamilySearch account has been cancelled. Is this a change to the partner accounts? I did not initiate a cancellation of this partner account. Do I need to contact the provider or has there been a change in the agreement between FindMyPast and FamilySearch?

@Candy Kammerman I am not aware of any announcements of changes to FindMyPast partner access. I would contact them directly.

Just an FYI to follow-up: I received another email this morning welcoming me to FindMyPast with my US FamilySearch account. It must be part of a new renewal program. The message included an expiration date of September 2024 and a note that the subscription would automatically renew unless FindMyPast was contacted. It also showed a $0 balance as the fee. Not sure if partner account holders have or will receive similar messages.

I received a notice my subscription had ended. My profile indicated the same. The notice took me to paid subscription options. I went to familysearch.org/partneraccess and reapplied for an account (free). It went through immediately and my account is reactivated with same user name and password. It looks like we may possibly have to renew accounts from time to time, especially if we don't use them. I have used FindmyPast heavily some years, not so much last year I think.

My FMP account renewed automatically. I got a second email to tell me a while after receiving the first. In between the two emails I went on FMP and found that I still had access to records. So no action should be needed.

@Candy Kammerman When you get those messages from Findmypast, you can ignore. Your account will automatically reset each year.
