Doungas/Alexandrides from Tyrnavos, Thessaly
Hello all,
I am trying to connect in two relatives that are uncles of my great-great-grandmother.
My great-grandmother: Irene Haji Alexiou (1815-1906), not sure which town, but her children were born in Portaria, Thessaly.
Her uncles (not sure which side): Stephanos Doungas/Dougas/Dounkas ( - 1830), born in Tyrnavos.
Demetrios Alexandrides (1784-1851(?)), also Tyrnavos. Both of these brothers seem to somewhat well known (they both have Wikipedia articles in Greek), but Irene has been a bit of brick wall. I was hoping that maybe her uncles could help shed light on her parents. Do you have any ideas?

@John Demos Unfortunately I do not see any records from Portaria in the FamilySearch catalog. About the closest I can find is in "Images" there are some records from Lavkos, Magnesia, Greece.
If you click on "Greece Research Links" at the top of this page... there are links to the General Archives of Greece along with some instructional videos.
You may also want to connect with some of the Hellenic groups or ask for a free consultation from GreekAncestry.net
Hope you can find something to help you.

This appears to be her tree in familysearch.org https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KJWN-WQK
If you go the right hand column and look look at all latest changes you may find collaborates. Rosemary and you and familysearch are the only ones I see. When you join partner member sites you can go to the right hand column and click on Search Records and it will take you to Ancestry, My Heritage, Find My Past etc.
Clicked on Ancestry (brings up sources) if you haven't already gone to partners for added source give it a try
My Hertiage has something and perhaps some of the other partner sites https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-search-familysearch-partner-sites-from-within-family-tree
