Please help with translation of death/burial record for Friedrich Ditzler
His record is the fifth record from the top (not including the page header) on the left hand page. Death: 21 Nov, burial 24 Nov (1850). His age is listed as 69.
Help requested is for a translation of the other words in his record, which my daughter and I can't quite decipher.
This record is from Ancestry's Pennsylvania and New Jersey, U.S., Church and Town Records, 1669-2013 for St. Michael's and Zion Church, Philadelphia, Phil., Pennsylvania.
Thank you very much!
Pamela

Friedrich Ditzler aus Schweigern im Königreich Würtemberg (correct Württemberg).

Hello @PSLeavens,
Note that the first two column headings read as a single sentence:
On the day in the year 1850: 24 November.
Was buried the body of: Friedrich Ditzler, from Schwaigern in the Kingdom of Würt(t)emberg; died 21 November [1850].
Age: about 69 years.

I agree that the village is spelled Schweigern in the record. My German history is rusty but depending on timeframe that village may have been in Baden rather than Württemberg.

Given the spelling error in the entry, there is another village, Schwaigern in Württemberg that might also be worth looking into.

Re: Schwaigern vs. Schweigern:
I am leaning towards "Schwaigern" because the record specifically states that it is in the Kingdom of Württemberg. Baden was a Grand Duchy.

I agree (and correct myself): Württemberg indicates Schwaigern, Schweigern would be Baden.

You're welcome, @PSLeavens.

Thank you all so much! My daughter and I wondered if at least some of the words following his name were places. This is wonderful! Prior to this record and your help, we only knew that he was born in Germany. And thank you, @JohnsonGreg , for the links to the Meyers Gazetteer, and @WSeelentag for the link for Schwaigern. Both very helpful!
