Before the undersigned civil registrar appeared today for the purpose of marriage:
(1) the smith Josef Siegfried, personally known, born 27 August 1905, Birth Register no. 47 of the Civil Registration Office in Bleidenstadt, residing in Bleidenstadt;
(2) the tailor Elisabethe Josefine Gerhardt, personally known, born 1 May 1904 at Bleidenstadt, Birth Register no. 26 of the Civil Registration Office in Bleidenstadt, residing in Bleidenstadt.

As witnesses were brought in and appeared:
(3) the farmer Jakob Siegfried, personally known, 58 years old, residing in Bleidenstadt;
(4) the railway official Andreas Gerhardt, personally known, 64 years old, residing in Bleidenstadt.
The civil registrar put the question to the betrothed one by one: whether they want to marry each other. The betrothed answered this question in the affirmative and the civil registrar then stated that by virtue of the Civil Code they were now a legally married couple.
