? How can I find the other half of a burial record
Hi
I have a microfilm copy of half of Georg Heinrich Bauer's burial record. The other half was on the next page and I missed it. Now we no longer have microfilm. Bummer.
I can't find it at Family Search or Ancestry. And I'm the only one searching our ancestors that is gathering and translating records.
I have his baptism record.
Georg Heinrich Bauer 11 Oct 1810– 21 Dezember 1810
Parents: Georg Michael Bauer and Eva Katharina Brenneis
Wimmersbach, Germany
Where else should look?
Thank you!

Hi Martha,
My first question would be: Do you know where this Wimmersbach is located? In Meyers there is only one place (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/21159012) which originally is called "Neckarwimmersbach" (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20248051), located close to Eberbach on the Neckar river. The parish seems to be Eberbach. Is that the correct one?
Church books for Eberbach are available on Archion.de. Access to documents on Archion requires a paid subscription. A one-month pass costs 19.90 Euro.

Hi Ulrich
You were correct about the location. The records always list it as Wimmersbach (as you can see in the snippet).
Thank you for the suggestion. But didn’t pan out.
Before registering, I wanted to see what they had.
Clicked on Search according to archive then
Baden: Landeskirchliches Archiv Karlsruhe then Eberbach
Beerdigungen start at 1818
Mischbuch Juli 1790, Aug. 1790,Dez. 1788 - 1811 Datum von
1788 Datum bis and 1811 Konfession ref Register Taufen, Trauungen
Would registering have made a different?

Hi Martha,
Do you know the film #. I assume it isn't one of the films listed here:

Hi Martha, try this film. It has your Phillip Rupp record on it and may have the Baur record.

Hi Greg
Thank you for the record... it helped.
Unfortunately I don't have the film number.

I suspect the Georg Heinrich Bauer burial record is on this same film. Do you know what year the burial was? I noticed a couple records for the same name as his father, Georg Michael Bauer, but haven't transcribed them to see if they are applicable.

Oops, I totally missed the December death date. I was thinking that was a baptism date. Looks like that film doesn't go back before 1842.
We know the film exists so we should be able to find it. Is there a chance there are records somewhere of what films you ordered?
I ordered a few films back in the day and they always sent an email with the film #. I searched my email for "FamilySearch Microfilm Ordering" and all my old messages with film numbers came up. If you are more organized than me you might have deleted these old emails. But, if not, you might be able to figure out which film number it is. Surely someone at familysearch would be able to locate the film by film number. At the very least a copy should exist in SLC since it was part of the program.

Here is the indexed record. The image should be viewable at a FHC.
