Looking for ancestors in the 1901 Canada Census
Hello,
I am looking for my ancestors: Petro & Ahafia Olechow and their son Michael in the 1901 Canada census. I'm confident that they lived in the Whitford, Alberta census division. I've scrolled through all of the available pages online so far with no luck. I think there may be a page missing online:
https://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.item/?app=Census1901&op=img&id=z000179773
https://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.item/?app=Census1901&op=img&id=z000179774 - missing
https://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.item/?app=Census1901&op=img&id=z000179775
The missing entries are households 141 - 157 from the missing page. In the family search database, I think it's page 14 of sub-district Y4:
Event Date 31 Mar 1901
Event Place Alberta, The Territories, Canada
Sub-District Y4
Event Type Census
Page 14
Is anyone able to access the missing page with households 141-157? If yes, do you see the Olechow family there? Their neighbours the Sadoways?

Hello,
I checked the 2nd link and it is coming up blank for me as well. I tried to go in and change the 773 to 774 but got the same thing. The page jumps from 13 to 15 as well, so you may want to contact the archive and let them know about the missing page. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Here is a link to p 14 of Whitford in automatedgenealogy.com. You can click "view" for an index and "proof" to see the actual page. Page 14 shows families 143 to 152. Families 153 to 162 are on p 15.

Looking quickly, I did not see either the Olechow or Sadoway families - couldn't find them referenced anywhere for 1901, actually. Automatedgenealogy.com gives you another way to access the 1901, 1911 and other census records. In addition to the index, you can see the actual pages. But I do not see your people.
